Now that You're a Patient
These are the basics....
It is important that you have had a cleaning/exam at the general dentist within the last 6 months prior to having your braces placed.
It is important that you do not have a fluoride treatment at your general dentist office
one week or less
before braces are placed.
Our automated calling service will call you to confirm your visits two days prior to your visit. If you would also like an e-mail appointment reminder, please let us know your e-mail address. (If you have caller ID, the automated phone call you receive is not our office number. Please don't call that number back.)
You are welcome to email us at
info@bridghamsmiles.com
at anytime; we do however ask that you
put the patient's first and last name in the subject line to ensure that your email is read
.
We will gladly change any appointment that you are not able to keep; please be courteous and contact our office 24 hours in advance. This will enable you to avoid a $25.00 missed appointment fee.
Please be sure to arrive for your appointments on time so that we can continue to provide timely visits to both you and our other patients.
In case of inclement weather, please be sure to call our office before your scheduled appointment time.
Before leaving our office after your appointment, please stop at the front desk to schedule your next appointment.
If you need a mouth guard for sports, please ask us for one. You may not use a "boil and bite" mouth guard while braces are on.
If you have a new home address, phone number, or email, please let us know.
As a courtesy to our other patients and parents, please do not use your cell phone while in the office.
When braces are placed, we start with a very soft flexible wire. It is
extremely
important not to play with the wire because it may pop out.
